day 3 of gdc

tons of notes that i need to come back and sumarize but here is my first pass while i’m eating lunch and trying to put together questions about a video for students to watch in class tomorrow)

- even the big guys are figuring it out as they go – the pipeline changes from project to project as technology changes

- timelines are extremely important – sometimes you have to cut content to make the contract deadlines

- i want to find out more about xna – microsoft’s game design tools tha thtey’re giving away. You can now put your games up to be reviewed to be included on xbox live arcade – thousands of community (amateur, not frojm a studio) games

- people are researching user experience – that makes me happy as a researcher – means projects for studnets – and some of hte techniques we can apply in our classes without a lot of hardware and statistics – so we can get them started thinking abou tmetrics before they go to work for comanies – - but really i want the user testing lab like at microsoft<G>
