new fear

i have like 3 feet of ideas and about 1 foot of class time in a semester – wayy to much stuff i want to put in – hopefully when i do the planning for the aesthetics class (yikes  i need a textbook for that too) i can move some of the ideas in my head to that semester’s class.

Gotta figure out how to get them to read stuff outside of class so we don’t have to cover it – cover new harder stuff in class – so we don’t go over the textbook in class – they do their mind map, we hit some of the biggest topics, maybe have a reading quiz and talk about any questions they don’t get right. Then do additional stuff in class – present extra new info, more controversial info, discussion stuff. So just a little lecture with outline to help them take notes.

Maybe i need to lay out the first 3 classes of skills and content – games & society, aesthetics, game design – make sure skills build (like start with game ideas in G&S, keep doing in other classes. start doing game analysis in aesthetics clas. do both in design.
